It’s the time of the year again where we get ready for our annual Rogue Overland Expedition. I can promise you, you’re not going to want to miss this one, as we are dipping back into our grass roots of why Rogue Overland was formed. The event is scheduled to start in the late afternoon/early evening on March 12, 2025 and go through March 16, 2025, with it starting around the Wickenburg, AZ and ending about 70 miles north of Phoenix, AZ off the I-17.
I know many of you thought Arizona was a barren desert wasteland with no water…this Rogue Overland Expedition is targeted to change your mind. The terrain will challenge your vehicle and your driving skill, but the payoff will be some of the most epic and remote terrain you can see in Arizona. This isn't an overland adventure, it's a rocklander adventure.
Along the way we will visit a hidden hot spring, see several rivers, pass through historic towns, and even visit a bar in the remote desert. Spots on this once in a lifetime adventure are limited and it tends to fill up fast, so continue to read below and start the sign-up at the end.
As usual we will be having our potluck dinner on the trip, so plan one of your special meals you want to share with everyone. We will also be limiting the sign up to 25 rigs, with no exceptions. This trip will fill up fast and when it does we will start a wait list with anyone else interested. Additionally, don’t forget that we have adopted a new formative response service as part of our trips…an Adventure Forum. Once we have sold 75% of the spots, we will send a personal email to each individual with your username and password. Please be on the look out for this. The forum will hold the key to additional details of the trip…meeting location, column assignments, firewood details, camping information, etc…
We are not ones to put too many restriction on our Rogue Overland trips, however for this year’s expedition, we recommend solid vehicle armor with skids, and sliders. It is also the Sonoran Desert so some of the large big bodied vehicle can expect to see some desert pin-stripping. We will also not be able to accommodate many stock height vehicles to include lifted all-wheel drive platforms. With this in mind, all vehicles will need to be equipped at a minimum with skid plates, a spare tire, a set of tools, air compressor, fire extinguisher and a VHF 2-meter radio (144-148 MHz). It is also recommended individuals have and carry spare parts; specific to their vehicle.
