MORE INFO:
The trails this year will all be in the Hualapai Mountains. The featured trail will be the Walapai 4 Wheelers adopted trail "Moss Wash" aka "The Mansion." We will have a moderate run and and Grade 7 or 8 each day. All the runs will be on BLM land so no permits or other permissions will be required. Most of the trails will be on the eastern slope. The center of Moss Wash is the Gold King Mine and Mansion. There's a colorful history, but the mine and mansion are at 35-01-35.88 North by 113-50-13.50. If you look at Google Earth or other sat pics you'll see a lot of other trails in the area. We'll be using a number of them, but we will also use trails that are not visible in pics

The official runs will be Friday and Saturday, but I'm planning to pre-runs for Thursday afternoon that will be Grades 5 and 7. Then on Sunday we'll have a post-event that will be a relatively short but very scenic and/or very challenging

CANVAZ XCURSION 2016 - VEGAS

to Oct 16

CANVAZ XCURSION 2016 - VEGAS

Rogue Overland will be hosting the CANVAZ XCURSION this year which brings together Nissan enthusiasts for a weekend of wheeling, camping and good times from the California, Nevada and Arizona clubs.

Below is the event schedule :

CANVAZ 2016 Official Schedule of Events :

Friday October 14th 2016

6:00 pm - 9:00 pm

Meet and Greet located at:

Lone Mountain Discovery Park
4445 N Jensen St.
Las Vegas, NV 89129

We will start out the weekend with a casual meet and greet in the park and have a street taco truck making the group dinner sponsored by our friends over at the AZXC.

We will not be doing a group camp on Friday night that way everyone can come at their own pace after work etc. We have a decent selection of hotels here in Las Vegas that everyone can take advantage of.

Saturday October 15th 2016

8:00 am

Meet upat the Shell Gas station located at :

500 Conestoga Way, Henderson, NV 89002

We will be rolling from here at 8:15 am sharp to our first trail run of the weekend which will be the Nelson Loops. This is a moderate rated trail and is a lot of fun with multiple slick rock style waterfalls and mining remains to explore.

We are recommending that you should have sliders/ skids and a 32” tire to run this trail. If you are attending in a stock rig you are more than welcome to jump in and ride with someone for the day as we will run a “stock” friendly trail later in the day.

1:30 pm

Finish the Nelson Loops trail and head over to do a group lunch at Johnny Mac’s which is a “sports bar” serving awesome pizza, wings , and all that healthy style food

3:30 pm

We will caravan as a group to our next trail run where we will also be camping for the night.  This trail called Mormon Wells will take us up into the Vegas mountains on a semi maintained dirt route that is stock friendly. We will set up camp at the trail summit and spend the rest of our evening relaxing at camp.

This camp area is backcountry camping meaning that there is not facilities/water to use, so plan accordingly when you are selecting your gear. We will do a group camp fire (granted no fire restrictions are in effect) and we will take care of bringing firewood for everyone so you don't have to haul it around.

Sunday October 16th 2016

9:00 am

Wake up and clean/inspect the camp area and caravan out as a group to the Apex/Nellis sand dune area.

We will run a short easy trail through the Apex dunes with a few obstacles as well as some time in the dunes.

1:00 PM

We should be wrapping up our trail run everyone can air up and say our good byes , do a group photo and head back home.
